Andrea De Luca was born and raised in Rome. He began his musical journey by regularly performing at local clubs like the now-defunct Big Mama. His early influences included Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Johnny Winter. After discovering the lap steel guitar through Ben Harper, Andrea honed his skills, mastering the instrument alongside the traditional six-string guitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea’s unique style combines rough and aggressive vocals with refined guitar technique, particularly evident in his mastery of the lap steel. This instrument, rarely seen in the hands of Italian artists, has become Andrea’s trademark, allowing him to explore uncharted sonic territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, Andrea has intensified his recording and concert activities. Memorable performances include a showcase concert on March 25, 2022, at Studio Miriam in Rome, and opening for Johnny Winter in 2014 and Victor Wooten in 2018. He plays instruments from renowned brands such as Bill Asher’s Electro Hawaiian. Andrea De Luca has been performing worldwide for twenty years, developing his unique style and bluesy vocal sound. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Andrea moved to Sardinia, his wife’s homeland, and participated in renowned music festivals there, such as Rocce Rosse Blues, Sant’Anna Arresi Jazz and Musica Sulle Bocche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea is deeply connected to his fans and loves interacting with them during and after concerts. His latest single, “Got to Cry for Peace,” was a huge success, reaching almost 100,000 streams on Spotify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2024, Andrea performed a duet with blues legend Jimmy Burns at Rosa’s Lounge in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
